Day 1 (Welcome to Rome)

Well we had the travel day from HELL!!
We missed our connecting flight in Paris, so Air France put us on the next flight to Rome which happened to be an Alitalia flight. No problem we should have only landed about one hour later than our original flight. Well that flight ended up getting delayed three times for a grand total of two and a half hours late.
We finally got to Rome but unfortunately our bags did not! We finally did receive our
luggage two days after arriving. Because of our delays we missed the walk in our hotel's neighborhood. The hotel called a taxi for us to meet the group at the restaurant. The taxi ride was nice and relaxing (wink wink). Had salad, pasta, and tiramisu for dessert.
